In a 1940s brick warehouse, the revitalised top-floor workplace reflects the ethos and creative spirit of Studio Johnston.

A workplace to inspire creativity, foster people’s wellbeing and cater to future growth... Plants encouraged.

  • Within the restored structure of steel beams, hardwood floors and ceiling joists, flexible workstations and custom-designed stand-up desks have been inserted, with a variety of breakout areas arranged for a balance of collaborative and private meeting spaces. Original timber floors and herringbone ceilings are celebrated, while newer storage pieces are plywood.

  • Lofty warehouse windows ensure the studio is naturally bright, with full-length fabric curtains filtering light and accentuating height. To keep things lively, splashes of bold colour and plants are sprinkled throughout. Amenities include a full kitchen – just like home – and bike racks for our hard-core urban commuters. Sustainability moves here are really about preserving the existing structure ensuring good natural light and airflow for minimal heating and cooling.
